Light: Your Rubber Tree will grow best with consistent, bright, filtered light. Many people put their rubber trees near a window where the light is filtered through a pair of sheer curtains. This plant tolerates low light, but the leaves will fade to a light green color. However, if the plant gets less light while growing, the leaves will actually become larger!

Water: Water when the top of soil becomes dry, then thoroughly drench until the water drains into the saucer. Empty the saucer if the water level is high so as not to drown the roots. Do not splash water on the leaves, this can cause stains. The worst thing you can do to your Rubber Tree is to overwater it.
