Light: Bright but not direct light is advisable for this plant. The glossy, arching leaves will increase in strength the more sun they are provided with.

Water: Throughout the summer months water thoroughly, allowing the soil to dry out in between waterings. Reduce this routine during the winter to once every two weeks. Water is often stored in the bulb of the plant to refrain from overwatering. Misting is not needed with the Ponytail Palm.
